Pharmafill(TM) TC3 Tablet Counter Properly Presents Oddly Shaped Pills to Sensor
Wall, NJ: It’s all about the presentation. The Pharmafill(TM) TC3 Tablet/Capsule Counter from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com), automatically counts square, triangular, pentagonal, and other oddly shaped tablets and pills. Overcoming the challenging flow characteristics of non-round shapes that confound and clog many electronic tablet counters, the Pharmafill TC3 features proprietary technology that automatically sets the solid dosage forms into a single layer and directs the flow of each individual pill from the hopper to the counting mechanism. This clever Airguide System prevents pills from interlocking and ensures each pill is properly presented to the center of the counting sensor for a high rate of accuracy with minimal concern for jams or miscounts.
Devised for pharmaceutical, nutrition, and contract packaging companies using or considering the pill shape as a marketing advantage, the fully automated TC3 pill counting machine achieves speeds up to 2,500 tablets per minute or 60 bottles per minute depending on the size and shape of the tablet. The versatile pill counter adjusts in height to accommodate bottles up to 10 inches high and comes with both a variable speed, vibratory feeder and touch-screen HMI as standard to quickly adjust the flow rate on the fly.
The automatic tablet counter is designed and manufactured in the company’s Wall, New Jersey headquarters and comes with a full, two-year warranty. A companion conveyor is offered separately.
