Pharmafill(TM) CS10 Cottoner Sports Colorful, Touch-Screen Controls
Wall, NJ: The Pharmafill(TM) CS10 automated cotton inserter from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com), includes a new HMI with a touch-screen control panel as standard. Powered by proprietary control technology, the new cottoner features a full-color, menu-driven interface for fast, easy, intuitive setup and smooth operation with minimal training needed for reduced risk of human error. From the flat panel display, the number of cotton pieces per bottle, length of the cotton pieces, bottle index cycle time, and other parameters may be selected. In addition, the height of the machine may be automatically raised and lowered from the new control panel to ensure it matches the height of the bottles on the conveyor.
Ideal for contract packagers and pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers, the Pharmafill CS10 automatically separates natural or synthetic coil from a continuous roll into individual pieces up to nine inches long, shapes them into an inverted U, and inserts them into the center of solid dosage bottles at speed up to 180 pieces per minute with 99.99% accuracy. Natural or synthetic cotton, rayon or polyester may be used.
The high-speed cottoner with the new HMI is designed and manufactured at the company’s New Jersey headquarters. The latest HMI may be retrofit onto Pharmafill CS10 models in the field.
