Wall, NJ: The Pharmafill(TM) PS1 Packserter(TM) from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com), features an optional, full safety guard enclosure. Designed to protect the desiccant or oxygen absorber strip from contamination and help prevent workers from inadvertant contact with the machinery, the full safety guard enclosure encases the entire spool and continuous feeding mechanism behind clear, polycarbonate, hinged panels. The safety enclosure opens both at the side for complete access to the spool for roll replacement and at the front to ensure setup moves quickly and easily while allowing visual inspection at all times.
Developed for nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, contract packaging, and other companies producing moisture-sensitive products in a sanitary environment, the PS1 Packserter with full safety guard enclosure also includes food-grade stainless steel construction as standard and operates 24/7 without human contact. The automated desiccant insertion machine inserts one or multiple packets into bottles or other containers up to nine inches in height at speeds of up to 100 per minute on a compact footprint just 20 inches across.
