Option on Pharmafill(TM) TC3 from Deitz Company Reduces Worker Involvement
Wall, NJ: The fully automated Pharmafill(TM) TC3 tablet counter from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com), features an optional hopper extension that accommodates 47 percent more pills than the company’s standard supply hopper. Holding 2.8 cubic feet of tablets, capsules, softgels, caplets, lozenges, and other oral solid dose products, the six-inch hopper extension allows 47 percent more pills to be continuously counted and filled into bottles before refilling the supply is needed. The expanded hopper capacity helps ensure that tablet counting production keeps pace with other automated equipment upstream and downstream and further reduces the need for worker involvement in the process.
Developed for pharmaceutical, nutrition, and other companies pursuing full automation, the hopper-extended Pharmafill TC3 automatically feeds the solid dosage forms from the hopper onto a rotating glass disc, orients them for presentation to the counting sensor, then counts and discharges the preset amount into a waiting bottle at up to 3,000 tablets per minute with 99.99 percent accuracy. The large hopper is manufactured from stainless steel for product contact and may be easily accessed or removed for quick cleaning.
The electronic tablet counter and hopper extension are manufactured in the company’s Wall, New Jersey headquarters. The pill counter is delivered tested and inspected with a two-year warranty.
