Powered Turntable Catches Bottles, Releases Downstream to Manage Line Speed
Wall, NJ: Packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com) has installed its PharmafillTM TT Series powered turntable in its on-site filling line for testing and training. Set midstream between the Pharmafill CS1 cotton inserter and Pharmafill NB1 tamper-evident neck bander, the midline turntable automatically captures bottles from the conveyor, holds them for a preset length of time, then releases them downstream. Any surges, bottlenecks, or backups due to varying throughput capabilities among the different filling and packaging machines are eliminated.
Suitable for pill bottles, dropper bottles, tubs, jars, tins, and other containers, the new, 30-inch diameter rotary turntable joins two other TT Series rotary turntables currently setup to meter empty bottles into the testing and training line and to accumulate finished, sealed containers at the end of the line. The powered turntables automatically rotate at a choice of speeds in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction to suit nearly any required line speed or configuration.
The turntables are manufactured in the company’s Wall, New Jersey, headquarters with stainless steel construction as standard and a choice of top plate diameters from 12 inches to 48 inches, and in custom sizes as needed. Tests using the new, midline turntable on the testing and training line may be scheduled by emailing sales@deitzco.com.
